A welcome note from the Principal
Fáilte romhaibh go suíomh Scoil Léana Mhóir. I am delighted to welcome you to the website of Lenamore National School.
I hope that you will enjoy browsing through its content and that it reflects the warm and caring learning environment that exists in Lenamore National School, where each child is welcomed, respected, valued, cherished and facilitated in reaching their full potential whatever their background, nationality or faith.
Lenamore National School is a co-educational Catholic primary school which has a long established tradition in providing an excellent quality of education for all pupils in our care.
Our school is multi-parochial with children attending from Lenamore and the local parishes of Ballylongford, Moyvane and Listowel.
In our school, we aim to combine the best of traditional values with the very latest teaching methods and technologies. We endeavour to provide our pupils with a broad range of very stimulating and exciting learning experiences.
We recognise the uniqueness and dignity of each person and strive to help each student to achieve his/her full potential. We are committed to providing a holistic education and we work to foster an atmosphere of openness and enquiry and encourage our pupils to become knowledgeable, questioning and reflective.
A love of learning and life-long learning are fostered.
We are proud to have a dedicated and supportive Board of Management and Parents Association in our school. We actively encourage parental involvement in school life as we believe that education is a process of partnership between parents and school and that good communication and mutual trust are what makes this partnership work well.
Whether you are a prospective parent or have children already attending the school, you can be assured that all staff involved with your children are committed to providing high quality education across the spectrum.
I would be delighted to personally meet with you and show you around our wonderful school.
Le gach dea-ghuí,
Anna Marie O’ Keeffe.
